Who we are

Beatriz was born in Madrid, Spain, and she is co-founder of YokmoK. Her lively character and enthusiasm have accompanied her throughout Europe. She has spent long periods of time in Ireland, Sweden, and Italy.

Beatriz is a Mountain Leader, also known as an Accompagnateur de Moyenne Montagne, and member of the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA).

Jorge was born in Madrid, Spain, and he is co-founder of YokmoK. Jorge’s passion for the mountains and nature started when he was studying engineering, and since then this passion has increased. He lived in Sweden for three years, and afterwards he moved to Switzerland, where he has been living for the last ten years. His knowledge of Spanish, English, French and Swedish make him a true Jack-of-all-trades.

Jorge is a Mountain Leader and an active member of the Swiss Alpine Club. You can view two interviews with Jorge done for the Spanish TV here and here.

Pau was born in Alcoy, Spain, and is the community manager of YokmoK. His biggest passions are travelling and Social Media. He lives in Alicante and he has travelled widely in Asia and Europe. He speaks Spanish, English, Catalan and a little bit of Japanese.

Pau has a Master Degree in Journalism although soon he specialized in blogs, social media and marketing online.

Marie was born in Canada, with father from Switzerland and mother from Argentina. She has a broad experience guiding groups in the Alps and the Andes. She speaks Spanish, French, English, Italian and German.

Marie is a Mountain Leader, a ski instructor and member of the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA), and now she is following training to become a helicopter pilot.

Carlos was born in Melilla, Spain. As a teenager, he moved to Madrid, where he got a master’s degree in Physical Education. An avid traveler, Carlos has visited a multitude of countries in order to practice possibly all existing mountain activities.

He is a Mountain Leader and a Canyoning Guide.
