Today we come across an article by Lonely Planet in which it spoke of its 10 best things to climb. We have not wanted to be left behind, so we have developed our own list of our ten favorite peaks. The’ve arranged alphabetically to avoid suspicion, because we love them all. To see what you think the list:

Bishorn (Switzerland)

With its 4,153 meters, the Bishornhas a technically simple climb, without any difficulty, we just have to go and put one foot before the other. Without realizing crowned the top and enjoy a spectacular view of the Alps.

Everest

Mother Goddess Chomolungma cannot miss on such lists. Its 8848 meters make it the highest peak in the world and the object of desire of climbers and mountaineers. We contemplate in our expeditions Everest Base Camp.

Kebnekaise

It is the highest mountain in Sweden and in Europe there are no higher summits so far north. The KebnekaiseIt has two peaks, of which more southern reaches 2,103 meters above sea level and is permanently covered by ice. The peak is located north of 2,097 meters and is rocky.

Kilimanjaro

The Kilimanjarowith almost 6,000 meters, it is the highest mountain in Africa and the only mountain in the world above 5,000 meters does not require a technical climb. That is, you get just walking.

Mont Blanc

Ascender the Mont BlancIt is not a trivial task. Its 4808 meters’ command respect and represent a real test for the organism. However, with good fitness and good planning, the summit is affordable.

Matterhorn

The Matterhornis possibly the best known mountain in the Alps for its spectacular pyramid shape, multiple times played. This beauty is one of the 28 finalists who aspires to become one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.

Rentea

The Romanian summit of Rentea has a height of 1,378 meters. We can walk in its paths during our hiking trip Snowshoeing in Transylvania. By the way, maybe you can see some deer around.

Storøra

This Norwegian summit does not reach the 1,000 meters, but it is wonderful to reach its peak hiking with Snowshoeing in Lapland Norway. Polar views are beautiful.

Teide

Teide National Park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. There is no doubt that lava formations and the lunar landscape of this summit captivate us from the outset. With a height of 3,718 meter Teideis the highest peak in Spain,

Toubkal

The Toubkal is the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa throughout its 4,167 meters. It is located 63 km south of Marrakech. To reach its summit we go through incredible valleys and know the hospitality of the Berber people.

    Interesante lista. De los que habéis mencionado el Kilimanjaro y el Everest son los que más me llaman la atención. Quizás algún día…

    Yo que me muevo más por Asia tendría estas cumbres en mi lista:

    El Monte Fuji, con 3.776 m, por el significado que tiene en la cultura de Japón y porque ver el amanecer desde el país del sol naciente me parece toda una experiencia. Eso sí, escalada fuera de temporada de verano, para ir tranquilos. El ascenso es bastante sencillo, entre 5-7 horas.     El Monte Kinabalu en Borneo, con 4.095 m. Tengo muchas ganas de escalarlo porque me han dicho que es espectacular. Quizás un viaje combinado con una travesía por la selva virgen de Borneo sería interesante.

    El Fansipan, con 3.142 m, en los Alpes Tonkineses al norte de Vietnam. El techo de Indochina, lo llaman. Durante mi viaje a Sapa (http://www.volver.asia/2011/03/sapa-trekking.html) estuve pensando seriamente si alargar mi estancia e intentar el ascenso, ya que los precios de los guías no salían muy caros. Uno de los atractivos es que desde la base de la montaña se pueden ver las preciosas terrazas de arroz de Vietnam, un paisaje increíble.

    Bueno, como veis mi lista es muy breve.

    Pues para mí desde luego está el Chirripó, con una altura de 3.820m, en su cima, en las mañanas despejadas se pueden ver a la vez el Caribe y el Pacífico. Yo tuve la suerte de verlo (por unos segundos) y es una experiencia increible…
