• optifly.com - scans more than 200 low-cost carriers in addition to major airlines;
• momondo.com - searches 437 airline websites;
• trabber.com - does not directly sell any flight ticket, it redirects to the provider;
• mobissimo.com - searches online travel agencies, major airlines, and low-cost carriers.
Other interesting services
• yapta - track prices on your selected flights and alert you via e-mail when they fall. If you've already purchased a ticket through an airline and the price drops, Yapta will give you explicit instructions on how claim a refund. Or for a fee of $15, Yapta will call the airline and get it for you.
• missrefund - help travellers reclaim taxes on flights not taken. While most affordable air tickets are non-refundable, consumers are entitled to reclaim the tax and (fuel) charges on an air ticket that they didn't use. Authorities charge airlines based on the number of passengers who fly, not the numbers that book tickets. Miss Refund requires an advance deposit of its €25 fee. If the claim is unsuccessful, the deposit is returned.
• EUclaim - claims compensation for duped passengers. Airline passengers are entitled to financial compensation for delayed or cancelled flights, or if they're bumped from an overbooked flight. EUclaim processes claims on behalf of passengers, charging a contingent fee of 27% of successfully claimed compensation.
