This hiking adventure takes place in Leukerbad, a typical Swiss town right in the middle of the Swiss Alps. Leukerbad offers the largest thermal complex in Switzerland.
Time to opt out, unwind and breathe deeply. At 1411 meters above sea level, you will find that the healthy mountain air, the Valais sun and the stunning backdrop of the Swiss mountains make it an easy thing to do. We do short and easy daily hikes in the Alps, and in the afternoon we relax in one of the 30 outdoor and indoor swimming pools.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Transfer to Leukerbad
Greeting at Geneva airport and transfer to Leukerbad. During the trip we can enjoy the view of Lake Leman and the Rhone valley. As we enter the Swiss Canton of Valais, the vineyards cover the hillsides of the mountains, and the Alps become more vertical. Once in Leukerbad, we choose a route or we enjoy the thermal baths to relax from the trip.
Days 2 to 7 – Leukerbad
This adventure has many possibilities, so we can be flexible. Being based in Leukerbad everyday permits us to plan routes day by day. If one day we feel like taking an easy route, no problem; another day we may want to do something more demanding: let's go; today we feel a little tired and want to spend the day at the thermal baths – perfect. Our guides will know what to propose at every moment.
Two cable lifts take us up to more than 2,300 meters (7,546 feet). Without taking a single step the panoramic view is incredibly beautiful: the Bernese Alps and the Southern Alps seen at 360 degrees. The shores of the alpine lakes make a perfect place to rest and enjoy our picnic.
The hot baths of Leukerbad await us after a pleasant day in the mountain. What more can we ask for?
Day 8 – Transfer to Geneva
Today is our last day in Leukerbad. We decide if we want to go on a short excursion or finish by relaxing at the thermal baths. We then drive back to the Geneva airport, arriving at about 14h00. There we bid farewell until our next adventure together.
