Day 1 – Direct to L'Abbaye
Meet at 15:30 hours at the Geneva Airport. Fast transfer to the swiss town of L'Abbaye. Our destination, at 1000 meters, is located at the heart of the Joux Valley, a natural jewel of lakes, grass and forests. We can dedicate the afternoon to familiarize ourselves with the snow rackets by doing an easy walk of 1 or 2 hours.
• Day 1 – Meet in Geneva and transfer to L'Abbaye. 1-2 hours hike.
Days 2 & 4 & 6 – Snowshoe hiking in the Joux Valley
The first day of snowshoe hiking we could climb one of the mountain tops of the region. Easy and amusing ascent that we will do with calm. At the top we have magnificent scenes: views of 360 degrees that allow us to admire the Swiss Alps, the French Alps, lake Geneva, and the French Jura. And if the ascent was amusing, the descend will be fast and delirious: each one piloting its own sleigh! Will your heart be able to handle the situation?
The second day with the snow rackets we can ascend another mountain top or, if the lake is completely frozen, we could walking over it. No wonders this region is called the Swiss Siberia! In any case we will enjoy greatly walking between snow-covered forests and Canadian-type landscapes. And if at night we still have some forces left, how about a nocturnal outing illuminated by the moonlight?
Days 3 & 5 – Cross-country skiing in the Joux Valley
With 220 km of cross-country skiing tracks, the Joux Valley offers incredible days in the wild. It doesn’t matter wether you are a beginner or an advanced skier, each one will have its place in these endless tracks.
In the morning we will use some moments to rent the cross-country material. Once ready, each one will have complete freedom to ski at its own pace and to discover the snow-covered landscapes at will. The guides of YokmoK will be provide assistance to those in need, although take into account that YokmoK guides do not replace in any case a ski instructor.
Day 7 – L'Abbaye
Today is our last day in L’Abbaye. We do a short hike with the snow rackets before our departure to Geneva airport. There we bid farewell until our next adventure together.
The price includes:
• Airport transfer from and to Geneva;
• 6 nights in hotel** with breakfast, double room;
• 6 picnics;
• Rental of snow rackets and cross-country ski equipment;
• 2 skipass to the cross-country tracks;
• Service of the mountain guide during the entire adventure;
• Mountain rescue insurance.
